The Spanish Association of Biosimilars BIOSIM is, together with AESEG, ANEFP, ASEBIO, Farmaindustria and FENIN, one of the associations that have just formed the Biomedical Industries Forum.
The objective of this initiative is to strengthen collaboration with the Administration and promote solutions that contribute to the development of medicines and health products and, therefore, the health system and people's health.
The Forum will meet periodically around three main axes: making joint proposals to the Administration aimed at improving healthcare from the perspective of quality and sustainability; cooperate to promote the health and social value of medicines and other health technologies; and share experiences to promote best business practices and ethical and responsible behavior in organizations.
These employer associations share the search for stable regulation and performance frameworks that allow, with a medium-long-term vision, to reconcile the promotion of the quality of the health system and access to innovation compatible with sustainability.
All of this, at a particularly relevant moment, in which the health system is facing crucial challenges, ranging from the obligatory transformation to address chronicity to the need to reasonably assume the disruptive innovation that is revolutionizing the treatment of the disease, which requires new and renewed solutions attitudes of anticipation and collaboration on the part of all those involved.
