The Board of Directors and the General Assembly have unanimously approved today the appointment of the new CEO of BioSim, Encarnación Cruz Martos.
Encarna Cruz's extensive experience in health management and administration, both state and regional, will reinforce and promote all of BioSim's strategic areas at a national and international level; His deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical field will allow the approach of projects that promote the use of biosimilar medicines while promoting confidence in them by health professionals and patients.
Encarna Cruz has a degree in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid, a diploma in Health from the National School of Health and Senior Management in Health Institutions and Clinical Management from IESE and Pompeu Fabra University respectively. She has exercised her professional activity both at the hospital level and in primary care, occupying since 2002 positions of responsibility in the management of the pharmaceutical provision of the Madrid Health Service, participating as an adviser on the rational use of medicines in several international projects. In 2017 she joined the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality as General Director of the Basic Portfolio of Services of the National Health and Pharmacy System. She was currently the Coordinator of the Regional Strategy for Advanced Therapies of the Community of Madrid.
