We have the sad duty to communicate the death of Regina Muzquiz Vicente-Arche, General Director of BioSim, Spanish Association of Biosimilar Medicines.
The death occurred today, April 22, 2020, and as a consequence of a long illness that Regina had been fighting for several years.
The regret of all of us who make up BioSim -its associated companies and the people who work or collaborate with the Association- is as deep as the satisfaction we have had for having been able to share this project with Regina, and for having been able to count on a person of her human and professional height.
Regina Múzquiz was born in Bilbao, and had a degree in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is a specialist in Clinical Analysis and has a Diploma in Health, she belonged to the Pharmaceutical Corps of the National Health and the Sanitary Corps of the Social Security Administration, number 1 of the promotion in both.
He developed his professional activity in the INSALUD Pharmacy Inspectorate. She was Medical Deputy Director of the San Millán-San Pedro de La Rioja Hospital Complex.
She served as Director General of Institutional Relations and High Inspection and Deputy Director General of the Secretariat of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System in the Ministry of Health, from where she contributed decisively to closing the transfer of powers in matters of health to all the autonomous communities.
Subsequently, he held management positions in the Market Access and Institutional Relations Area in various healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Since September 2016, she was the General Director of BioSim, just since the Association began its journey.
All of us who have known Regina admire her immense capacity for work, the deep knowledge of health that she had, her permanent desire to serve and her always cordial and affable character. We have been fortunate to be able to share this stage with one of the most beloved people in Spanish healthcare, and that makes us proud.
We sympathize with all your family and friends.
