This document was developed using a focus group methodology, with the participation of nine patient organizations. The objective was to understand their views, concerns, and information needs regarding biosimilars.

After more than ten years of experience with complex biosimilar treatments, patients demonstrate that the safety and efficacy of biosimilars are beyond question, and that the more or less positive experience of use depends on the usefulness of the medication, an aspect that is not linked to whether the drug is original or a biosimilar.
