3 of the 6 plants that Insud Pharma, a pharmaceutical multinational with a presence in more than 40 countries, owns in Spain are located in León. This commitment to the region began more than a decade ago with the launch of León Farma in Villaquilambre, specializing in hormonal treatments; It continued with the inauguration 5 years ago of mAbxience León, in the Technological Park of the capital, a leading biotechnological plant in Europe in R&D of biosimilars; and later with Farmalan, dedicated to the production of hormonal injectable drugs. The group generates more than 600 jobs in León, mostly highly qualified academic professionals.
