The Global. It was the month of June 2014 when the first stone for specific legislation on biological medicines was laid in the Congress of Deputies. The 'works manager' of that project was the spokesperson for the extinct Convergència and Uniò, Concepciò Tarruella. After several debates, she obtained the unanimity of the Lower House to carry out a Proposition Not of Law (PNL) that sought to shed light on the blind spots that exist in the Guarantees Law. That feat —consensus in the X Legislature was not common—, however, did not have the desired end. A year later, after asking about it in parliamentary headquarters, Tarruella learned that the Ministry of Health did not see the need to develop such legislation.
