About us

In 2015, a group of pharmaceutical companies established in Spain with common interests, the research, development, production and/or marketing of biosimilar drugs, decided to create an association that would promote the use of these drugs, boosting their use.

Integrate and joining forces

BioSim, Spanish Association of Biosimilar Medicines, is a non-profit organization whose aim is to welcome and represent all pharmaceutical companies established in Spain that research, develop, produce and/or market biosimilar medicines.

BioSim opens its doors both to laboratories that are already operating in the biosimilars market and to original product companies that have set up, or are going to set up a biosimilars division; be it for development, production or commercialization.

It is a new institution, independent from other business associations in the sector, and whose fundamental mission is to integrate, unite and add efforts for the benefit of its members, as well as the whole of the pharmaceutical sector and society.
