On several occasions we have spoken on our blog about the biosimilar drugs, medicines that are similar but not exactly identical to the reference products, and that are still quite unknown by the population, and even by a large part of health professionals. We announce that next February 12 there will be a conference in Madrid in which the current situation and the future of the biosimilar drugs, both in Spain and in Europe.
The session, entitled "Biosimilar Medicines: present and future. Europe vs. Spain”, is organized by AESEG, employer of the generic drug industry in Spain and by the Foundation for Health Research (FUINSA), with the sponsorship of the Sandoz, Teva and Hospira laboratories, and with the support of the European Generic Medicines Association (EGA) and the European Commission.
Throughout the day, whose complete program you can consult hereis will delve into the different aspects of biosimilar medicines, such as their vision from the pharmaceutical industry, their evolution and trends, their hospital use or the regulations that affect them. To this end, leading professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, heads of Public Administration health services, members of the European Commission and researchers from different Spanish hospital services will participate in the session.
